We collect minimal information to provide our service. When you search for a bottle or scan a barcode, your query is sent to our AI providers (OpenAI and Google) to generate recommendations. If you allow location access, your approximate location is used to tailor pricing to your region — this data is not stored. We do not require account creation or collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, or phone number.
Camera Access
If you use the barcode scanning feature, your device camera is accessed locally in your browser. Images are processed to decode barcodes and may be sent to AI services for label analysis. Camera access is only activated when you explicitly choose to scan, and images are not stored on our servers.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to power recommendations and pricing: OpenAI (GPT) for AI-generated recommendations, Google (Gemini) for image analysis, and Tavily for web-based product and market price lookups. These services may process your queries under their own privacy policies. We also use Vercel for hosting and analytics.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to save your theme preference (light, dark, or system). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Data Retention
We do not store your search queries, barcode scans, or recommendation results on our servers. Requests are processed in real time and not logged for future use.
Children’s Privacy
This service is intended for users of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 21.
